Josh Bywater is a theater and television actor based in New York City and Chicago. Born and raised in St Louis, MO, he began his career as an actor after taking an Acting for Non-Majors class at Webster University. Thereafter, he began to work in the St. Louis theater community and eventually headed to NYC.
In NY, Josh has been seen in Realer Than That and Good Enough with the CRY HAVOC Company. Regionally, he was seen in The Crucible at Ozark Actors Theatre. Chicago theater credits include Tennessee Williams' One Arm with Steppenwolf Theatre, The Story at the Goodman Theatre, Picnic and Time and the Conways at the Griffin Theatre.
He has appeared on GREY's ANATOMY and AS THE WORLD TURNS on television as well as in several short films, including MENTOR, which is currently making the film festival circuit. He has studied at The School at Steppenwolf. Josh is a Resident Artist with The CRY HAVOC Company.
On television in 2014, he plays American Soldier Hawkins in NBC's new series CRISIS, a conspiracy thriller starring Gillian Anderson, Dermot Mulroney, Rachael Taylor, Lance Gross and REVENGE alum Max Martini as the villain.
